Well, I emailed the orphanage a week ago and I still have not heard anything. We had hoped that Michael's passport would be ready by now and we could be working on getting his visa. My body aches at the thought of continuing to wait. But I don't have a choice but to continue to wait. As I read about
Tricia possibly getting new lungs and then finding out that the lungs were "no good", I tried to imagine how much more difficult it would be to be waiting for new lungs as oppose to a new son. I don't think the two can be compared, but I do know that the God that we serve knows where each of us are. He knows when we are weak. He loves us and He IS in control. Please continue to pray for my family and for Tricia and Nate's family. Please also pray for my friends Amy and Nancy as they are also waiting on getting their children home from Haiti.
Isaiah 40:27-31 (New International Version)
27 Why do you say, O Jacob,
and complain, O Israel,
"My way is hidden from the LORD;
my cause is disregarded by my God"?
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
