Busy, Busy, Busy

Well, we have definitely been busy the last few days. Friday morning the kids were getting on each others nerves, so we decided to go out. We took Michael and Kevin's first trip to the zoo. It was a very warm and tiring day, but it was good. Michael seems to like the stroller. I think it makes him feel secure. When we told him we were going out, he went out the front door and climbed in the stroller. But he didn't argue when I told him that we had to go in the van first. Today, we went and bought sandals as his feet were a lot bigger than we expected. Then we went in the pool for the first time. He has no fear of the water and did not care at all that it was cold. He is still afraid of the cats and dogs but is doing better with the cats and even pet the one cat a little. It is definitely a challenge to deal with the language issue and we have to be patient with him since we know he doesn't understand everything we are telling him. Our little book of Kreyol has been very helpful at times. We just can't figure out what he is saying to the animals. He keeps pointing to them and saying what sounds like "poo poo caca". So if anyone knows what this might be in Kreyol, we could use some help.

caca in kreyol is the equivalent to the "f" word in our language. haha. you may want to persuade him from using it. the nannies and other staff use it quite frequently in front of the children despite hal and chris' best efforts to diminish this word being used.

i also meant to add it acts as the "s" word as well... which is why he's saying "poo poo caca." this word was used a lot when changing diapers...
